Good cars, Great company, and atrocious weather is what greeted us as we got down to the Taupo Autocourse on sunday the 4th June, (It was sideways rain).
Be that as it may it was still an awesome day and many, many thanks to Brendon, Barry, and the rest of the Ford Muscle Car Club for the invite and their hospitality, All in all about 20 cars took their turn on the track throughout the day and congrats to our very own "Junior" for bringing the Torana home in 3rd place only just getting piped at the post by Russell in the Maloo (traction control and all), and i`m happy to announce that the outright winner was the Mighty Monaro, so thats Holden 1,2, & 3. With Barry Gordon winning the Club trophy and Mr Hoffman being awarded the "Hardluck" trophy because he decked his Mustang into the guardrails "TWICE".
The diversity of cars was great to see with Holden, Ford, Nissan, Mazda, and the stunning Cobra really looked impressive with the water spraying off its 4 foot wide tyres down the front straight. |
